Velocity of fan - 3m/s

*Note: Control airfoil has lift force of 0 throughout the experiment and statistics for control are not needed in the calculation of lift force.

Below is the data colected using Styrofoam airfoils

Finding the lift force of styrofoam airfoils with the lift equation:

Factors:

Air Density - 1.1803kg/m3

Velocity of fan - 3m/s

Lift coefficient as follows:

Solving for lift force:

Hence, results as above.

Thus we can conclude that even though both materials were used, the deep camber airfoil shape still proves to have the most lift.
